My introudction

(session 1)

I am Cheung Chun Kay, Jaco. I am currently working in a textbook publishing company. I am now in the science editorial, formerly in the mathematics section. Besides textbook editing, I also need to prepare teaching materials (to both teachers and students) for multimedia products, such as CD Rom and web resources. I think the demand of the use of IT in teaching and learning will be increased in the coming years, it is time for me to know more about the trend of IT both in Hong Kong and worldwide. I am quite eager to try to apply what I can learn from MITE course to improve my work.

I hope that by taking this module,
1) I can acquire more knowledge about the development of ICT and the curriculum reform in Hong Kong,
2) I want to know more how teachers (as well as students) want under the trend of IT,
3) I want to know on what ways my job can help to support the policy objectives listed in the Empowering Learning and Teaching with Information Technology (EMB 2004),
4) I want to improve the quality of teaching resources prepared for school.
5) I get to know how to work in Weblog and Wiki.
